After receiving rave reviews for excellence in presenting the finest of the circus arts for ten seasons, Circus Sarasota announces its 11th season of performances, titled Soaring to New Heights, in Sarasota opening on February 1, 2008 with an unparalleled all-star lineup of thrilling circus acts. There will be eight performances per week from February 1st through the 24th at the Big Top located at the corner of 12th St and Tuttle Ave adjacent to Ed Smith Stadium.

Five of the acts making their U.S. premieres this season are masters of the Russian bar, The White Crow; the artistic hand balancing of, Crazy Flight; Daniel Hochsteiner, a true juggler extraordinaire; Jimmy Folco, a classic Italian clown; and the elegant aerial corde Lisse act of Szebasztian Richter and Krisztina Eotvos. Other popular acts in the show program who have achieved their success in the U.S. and abroad include the Poemas, a family Risley foot juggling act; The Smirnov classic Russian quick change artists; daredevil equestrian acrobats the Kambarov Kazakhs; and Circus Sarasota’s own Queen of the Air, Dolly Jacobs.
