the year, Sarasota hosts festivals of all shapes and sizes.
The Sarasota Film Festival is among the best in the country
and gaining notoriety. But don’t forget the Cine World
Festival at Burn’s Court Cinemas with the best in foreign
films. Or the Through Women’s Eyes film festival of
films by female filmmakers and the Gay & Lesbian Film
Festival every fall. Then there’s Arts Weekend, La Musica
Chamber Music Festival, The Reading Festival, the Sarasota
Blues Festival, wine festivals, new play festivals and on
and on. One is only limited by time and energy when taking
in all that this area has to offer.
